Who is responsible for your information?
H4NSON LIMITED, company number 14569630, is responsible for personal information we decide how and why to use in connection with our business. Our registered office is Unit 3, 69 Upper Accommodation Road, Leeds, LS9 8LS. You can contact us about privacy at david@h4nson.co.uk or on 02077 887 850.
Information we receive
When you contact us, we may receive your name, business name, job or business contact details, email address, telephone number and the information in your enquiry. During trading discussions, this may also include correspondence, order details, delivery information and records needed to administer a commercial relationship. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and request logs to deliver and protect the website. Loading an optional third-party map also shares technical information with that provider, as explained below.
How and why we use it
We use information to respond to enquiries, discuss requirements, prepare or administer agreed transactions, communicate with suppliers and customers, keep appropriate business records, and protect our services. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may be steps requested before entering a contract or performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in running our business and dealing with business contacts. We consider the effect on individuals when relying on legitimate interests. If a particular activity requires consent, we ask for it separately.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by people working for H4Nson and by relevant service providers, such as website hosting, email, IT support and professional advisers. Where necessary to progress an enquiry or agreed order, relevant details may be shared with suppliers or parties involved in fulfilment. We limit sharing to the purpose involved and use appropriate arrangements with service providers. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal rights.
Maps, cookies and international handling
The Google map on our contact page loads only when you choose to load it. This connects your browser to Google, which may receive information including your IP address and use cookies under its own privacy practices. You can use the written address and direct contact details without loading the map. See our cookie policy and Google’s privacy policy.
Some service providers or trading partners may handle information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer is necessary, we must use an applicable legal mechanism and appropriate safeguards. Contact us for information about a transfer relevant to your personal information.
Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, taking account of the enquiry, any ongoing relationship, legal record-keeping duties and the need to resolve disputes. Enquiry information is reviewed in light of whether further communication is expected. We use proportionate organisational and technical measures to protect information, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and may object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions. See our data protection information for how to contact us.
Please raise any concern with us first so we can consider it. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We may update this policy as our activities or legal requirements change; the date above identifies this version.
